About Quagmire Press

Quagmire Press began by publishing titles about crime through the eyes of its perpetrators and victims in Canada, a perennially fascinating subject. We avoid sensationalizing crime in favour of a deeper, more objective and, we hope, more illuminating examination of the processes that cause crime and bring criminals to justice. We strive to pay proper attention to the impact on the victims of crime and their families.

Our Stories

In addition to publishing titles that fall into the category of true crime, we delight in bringing to our audience well-written works of fiction. After all, who doesn’t enjoy reading a tantalizing whodunit or an intricate spy thriller set right in our own country? During the past few years, we have expanded our list to include stories of mysterious and unexplainable phenomena.
